If things go as planned Madhuri Dixit might act in a unique Bollywood comedy about acquiring the perfect feminine figure. In keeping with its theme, the film is suitably titled ‘36-24-36’ and is the idea of director Meghna Gulzar , who showed signs of immense maturity as a director in the short film ‘Pooranmaasi’ in Dus Kahaniyan .

‘36-24-36’ is a situational comedy about female figures, obesity and weight loss. Meghna reportedly gave a script narration of the film to Madhuri when the actress was in Mumbai recently. Meghna says Madhuri kept laughing at the funny elements in the script and sounded very interested in doing the movie.

But there is one big problem! Madhuri has made it crystal clear that her family, her kids and her husband, are her first priority. She can’t leave them in the US and come to Mumbai to shoot a film. However, production house Pritish Nandy Communications, which is producing the movie, is figuring a way out. If required, the producers are prepared to shoot the entire film in the US and that too at the time suited to Madhuri. Still, Madhuri is presently busy with the upcoming leg of ‘The Unforgettables’ tour in the US. She would give a final word on the project only after the tour.

Meanwhile, many producers and directors in Bollywood are eager to have Madhuri in their films. The likes of Indra Kumar , Anil Kapoor , Subhash Ghai and even Shimit Amin want Madhuri for their forthcoming films.
